UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam will be held on 4th October 2020, after the Supreme Court declined the requests for postponing the exam
UPSC CSE Prelims 2020 on 4th Oct: Supreme Court Civil services exams will be held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on October 4 after the Supreme Court today declined requests to postpone the exam. Supreme Court has dismissed the plea to postpone UPSC Prelims 2020 Examination. The examination for UPSC Civil Services 2020 Prelims and UPSC Indian Forest Services 2020 prelims would be conducted as per the schedule on October 4, 2020. The bench has, however, asked UPSC to consider and make special concessions for those aspirants who are on their last attempt.
SC has dismissed the suggestion of merging 2020, and 2021 UPSC Prelims examinations. Pointing out that the act would have a cascadig effect and is not desirable. UPSC has also stated the same in the affidavit and the bench has agreed.
