Saposhi: A DDoS attacking malware.

DDoS: is stands for distributed denial of service attack. This malware can deny actual operator’s operation and take control over it.

Saposhi: A DDoS attacking malware

Cyber security agencies have detected a new malware called Saposhi, which is capable of taking over electronic devices and turning them into ‘bots’ i.e. it denies operations of real operator and control it over the internet.
Saposhi can take control over Wi-Fi routers and security cameras and also hiding its own presence in the bot – a device taken over by a malware.

Some DDoS malware similar to Saposhi are Reaper and Mirai

First HeliTaxi launched in Bengaluru

Subhash Chandra Garg Committee – to study issues in Fintech space

The government on Monday set up a eight-member panel, led by department of economic affairs secretary Subhash Chandra Garg
Function of the panel to find ways to make it easier for financial technology firms to do business and for authorities to deploy their services to further the goals of financial inclusion.
The panel will examine means of using data available with Goods and Services Tax (GST) Network, the company that processes indirect tax returns, and information utilities such as credit information companies to make applications for financing of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
The panel will also work with entities such as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to create and use the unique enterprise identification number.

Swadesh Darshan and Prasad Scheme

Government will set up five Special Tourism Zones in partnership with States.
These five special zones will be anchored as Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) that will be set up in partnership with the States. In this budget, government has allocated Rs. 1,840.77 crore to the Tourism Ministry, Rs. 250 crore more in the 2017-18 fiscal.
Under Swadesh Darshan Scheme 13 thematic circuits have been identified for development, namely North-East India Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Himalayan Circuit, Coastal Circuit, Krishna Circuit, Desert Circuit, Tribal Circuit, Eco Circuit, Wildlife Circuit, Rural Circuit, Spiritual Circuit, Ramayana Circuit and Heritage Circuit.
Under PRASAD Scheme 13 cities Ajmer, Amritsar, Amravati, Dwarka, Gaya, Kamakhaya, Kancheepuram, Kedarnath, Mathura, Patna, Puri, Varanasi and Velankanni have been identified for development.

Pongala Festival

It is a famous festival of South India, celebrated in Attukal Bhagavathi temple, located in Trivantpuram.
The Pongala event takes place on the penultimate day of the 10-day-long Attukal Pongala festival.
Why it is celebrated
According to the legend, Kannaki destroyed Madurai in Tamil Nadu after the king of Madurai wrongfully imposed the death penalty on her husband.
After that, Kannaki travelled to Kerala, where she rested for a while at Attukal and women are said to have cooked pongala to please her.
